Managing camera access range as a group

A camera group is not just a classification name, but an operating unit that determines the scope of images and notifications exposed to users. Cameras from different installation locations or work organizations don't all need to be visible on one screen, making both security and day-to-day screen management easier by leaving only the necessary range open to those actually responsible for responding.

First, decide on a group structure based on long-term criteria such as organization, location, or task, then assign cameras and users to the group. Below we explain in order how to create a group and how to link the group to registered cameras and users. After completing the settings, you can check whether the access range is displayed as intended on the user's screen.

Setting up a camera group

You can set up groups of cameras so that only cameras in the specified group can be viewed.

Setting a group for cameras that have not been assigned a group

After creating a group, you can register a new camera or assign an additional group to a camera that has not yet been assigned a group. (Even if there is an existing camera group, it can be additionally assigned to another group.)
