Configure Camera Groups

Camera groups control which cameras each user can view.

Create a Camera Group

An Admin can create, edit, and delete groups at Settings → Camera Groups.

Enter a group name and description.

• Use a name that makes the installation area or purpose easy to identify.

Add cameras.

• Select the cameras to include in the group.

Add users.

• Select the users who may view cameras in the group.

Assign a Group to an Unassigned Camera

After creating a group, assign it when registering a new camera or add it to a camera without a group. A camera may belong to multiple groups.

• New camera: Select an existing group in Step 1, Camera Information.
• Existing camera: Select More […] → Camera Information at the top of the camera detail page and choose a group in the edit screen.

Assign Groups to Users

You can assign groups from Account Management even if no user was added while creating the group. An Admin can select a user's camera groups at Settings → Accounts.

A user can view cameras in assigned groups and cameras that have no group assigned.
