Connect and Register a Camera

This guide explains the camera connection requirements and new-camera registration procedure.

Preparation

Camera name
RTSP address and access credentials
An environment where the EVA server can reach the camera network
A scenario or scenario template to apply

RTSP address example:

rtsp://username:[email protected]:554/stream

Recommended Camera Conditions

Item	Recommended condition
Resolution	720p or higher
Frame rate	At least 5 fps
Codec	H.264 or H.265
Network	Stable wired network or Wi-Fi

The maximum number of cameras depends on the EVA server's CPU, GPU, memory, and network bandwidth.

Registration Procedure

Select + Add New Camera in the camera list.
Enter the RTSP URL, camera name, and camera group.
Select Apply to run the connection test.
Check the still image, resolution, FPS, and bitrate.
Write a scenario or load a template.
