Manage Categories

Use categories to organize detection scenarios by purpose. Assigning categories to scenarios clarifies operating standards and helps operators distinguish and respond to alerts quickly.

Assign a category when registering a detection scenario.

Create a Category

• Category color and name are required.
• Category color: Alerts use the selected category color. Choose colors that make many alerts easy to distinguish.
• Category name: The category name appears as an alert label. Use a clear name that reflects its purpose.

You can edit or delete a category at any time. Alerts received before the edit retain their original color and label; the change applies to alerts received after saving.

Apply a Category

• Select a category during Camera Registration → Camera Information → Write Detection Scenario.
• Example: To manage fire alerts as urgent alerts:
  1. Create an Urgent category with the desired color.
  2. Select Urgent in the Category field when writing the detection scenario.
  3. Alerts from that scenario display the Urgent label and selected color.
